Introduction to Hospital Visitation
- Are you a lay person who might be interested in hospital visitation, either within your local church context or within a chaplaincy context?
- Are you a lay person who visits hospitals as part of your church responsibilities?
- Do you sometimes feel unsure what to do, what to say or how to react to the different pastoral situations you meet or could meet in hospital?
- Would you be interested in receiving some training for hospital visitors?
Venue: Edgehill College, 9 Lennoxvale, Belfast
Dates: Thursdays 1st Oct – 3rd Dec 2009 from 7.30 – 9.30pm
Course Fee: £60
Due to the nature of the course we have decided to limit the maximum number of participants to 15. Applicants are asked to complete an application form and to submit a letter of approval and recommendation from their minister/pastor/priest. Places will be allocated to successful applicants on a first come, first served basis.
The cost for the course, including supper and course materials, is £60. Successful applicants will be notified in writing and given an invoice for the course fee.
Please do not send payment with your application form.
It would be appropriate to discuss your participation in the course with your minister/priest. While this course may equip participants to serve as hospital visitors it does not qualify or authorise anyone to do so.
